Kelly Grey Carlisle is an Associate Professor of English at Trinity University in San Antonio, with affiliated appointments in Environmental Studies and Creative Writing. She teaches courses in Creative Nonfiction Writing, Editing and Publishing, and First Year Experience seminars, bringing her expertise in memoir and personal essay writing to the classroom.
Professor Carlisle's research focuses on creative nonfiction, particularly memoir writing, personal essay, and immersion writing techniques. Her work explores the connections between place, history, and personal narrative, with a current book project examining Durham Cathedral in northern England.
