Her academic credentials include:
- D.M.A. in Voice Performance from Louisiana State University (2007)
- M.M. in Voice from Carnegie Mellon University (1998)
- B.M. in Voice from Mercyhurst College, D'Angelo School of Music (1991)
Professor Lynch's expertise spans classical and contemporary vocal performance, with recent roles including Bellini's Norma, Verdi's Aida, and Mozart's La clemenza di Tito. She excels in oratorio (Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Verdi's Requiem) and new music, having premiered works by Eric Moe and Judith Weir. Her international experience includes performances in Italy and Central America, plus masterclasses in Costa Rica.
While no research grants are documented, her performance career directly informs student training through Chatham's Vocal Recital Series and Opera Workshop. She mentors voice students in technical development, repertoire mastery, and stagecraft across both institutions.
Professor Lynch directs Chatham's Vocal Recital Series as her primary professional platform, providing students with curated performance opportunities in opera scenes and art song. Her Certified Massage Therapist credential further enhances vocal pedagogy through biomechanical expertise.
