Kelly Bolden

Dr. Kelly Bolden is an Assistant Professor at Howard University Hospital, affiliated with the Surgery Department within the College of Medicine. She serves as Medical Director and Plastic Surgeon at Cultura Dermatology and Plastic Surgery. Her practice focuses on cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body sculpting, gender confirmation surgery, and facial rejuvenation, with an emphasis on patients of color. Dr. Bolden actively supports underserved communities through advanced surgical training and international missions, particularly in African nations.

Education: Dual BS in Chemistry (Spelman College) and Chemical Engineering (Georgia Tech), MD from Baylor College of Medicine, residencies in General Surgery (Emory University) and Plastic Surgery (UT Southwestern), and microsurgery training at Mercy Medical Center.

Research interests center on equitable access to reconstructive surgery, innovative techniques in breast reconstruction, and global surgical education. She is a member of prestigious organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and Society of Black Academic Surgeons.
