Kelly Anne Concannon, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Writing in the Department of Communication, Media, and the Arts within the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences at Nova Southeastern University. She actively teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including basic writing, college writing, advanced composition, gendered images in popular culture, and history and theory of rhetoric. Dr. Concannon is a dedicated member of the Honors College, teaching reading seminar courses, honors writing courses, and UNIV courses focused on ethics and embodiment.

Dr. Concannon's research bridges writing studies, feminist theory, and social justice education with particular attention to how affect operates within writing and tutoring interactions. She approaches pedagogy through a lens of social justice, focusing on literacy studies and the political dimensions of writing instruction.
Her publications span multiple venues including Reflections: A Journal of Public Rhetoric, Civic Writing, and Service Learning, The Journal of Feminist Scholarship, and Academic Exchange Quarterly. Her research output shows consistent productivity with publications across two decades, demonstrating sustained engagement with critical issues in writing studies and social justice education.

She currently mentors undergraduates through the Undergraduate Journal of Service Learning and Community-Based Research and participates in community organizations including the South Florida Diversity Alliance and the Women of Tomorrow Program in Broward County.
