Kelly A. Howe is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biology at the University of New Mexico, serving as Faculty Advisor for the Biology Undergraduate Society (BUGS) and UNM Make-A-Wish. Her office is located in CAST 65, with contact via khowe@unm.edu or 505-277-0701.

Dr. Howe's research investigates the genetics of sexual development in Neurospora crassa, regulation of gene expression by small RNAs, and peroxisome assembly/function. Her work bridges fungal developmental genetics, RNA interference mechanisms, and organelle biogenesis, emphasizing molecular pathways in model eukaryotic systems. She maintains active engagement in undergraduate education through BUGS advising and course instruction.
