Kelly A Warmuth is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Assistant Chair in the Psychology Department at Providence College. She holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Notre Dame (2015). Her research focuses on child development, marital conflict, parenting practices, and innovative teaching methods like PechaKucha presentations.

Her work examines how interparental conflict and parenting behaviors influence child psychopathology and externalizing behaviors. She also explores pedagogical strategies to enhance student engagement through alternative presentation formats. Warmuth led a grant-funded project (2017–2018) investigating child development responses to marital conflict. She has authored/co-authored 8 scholarly contributions, including peer-reviewed articles in Child Psychiatry Human Development, Journal of Family Psychology, and Currents in Teaching and Learning, as well as a book on parenting and attachment.
Warmuth’s research trends emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to understanding familial influences on child development and evidence-based teaching practices. Her recent work highlights the role of constructive/destructive conflict dynamics and parenting practices in shaping child outcomes.
