Kelley Joy, DO, is the Chair of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Associate Professor at Kansas City University's (KCU) Joplin campus. She transitioned from aspiring to be a translator to pursuing medicine after working in a pharmacy and doctor's office. Graduating from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998, Dr. Joy established a primary care practice in Pryor, Oklahoma, for six years before joining KCU to help launch its Joplin campus. She emphasizes goal-setting for medical students, likening their journey to a marathon. Active in her community, she volunteers with children at her church.
