Kathryn Brandt

Kathryn Brandt, D.O., M.S., MEDL, is a Clinical Professor and Chair of the Department of Primary Care at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM). She is also affiliated with the Harold and Bibby Alfond Center for Health Sciences at the Portland Campus for the Health Sciences. Dr. Brandt is a UNECOM alumna (1997) and completed her residency at Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency (2000). She is certified in Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.

Her professional roles include serving as the Osteopathic Director of Medical Education at Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency (2001–2008) and founding the NMM Plus-One program and the Maine-Dartmouth Collaborative Care Center (2008–2012). Her research focuses on integrating Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine into clinical practice and developing multidisciplinary approaches to chronic disease management.

Dr. Brandt’s contributions to medical education include leadership in residency programs and the creation of innovative care models. She currently leads the Department of Primary Care at UNECOM, emphasizing evidence-based, patient-centered care.
