Dr. Keith Parry is Interim Head of the Department of Sport and Event Management at Bournemouth University and Adjunct Fellow at Western Sydney University. His research examines identity, inclusion, and media representations in sport, with particular focus on gender equality, concussion management, and online fan communities.
He developed the concept of 'Organisational Cultural Lag' to explain slow institutional responses to social movements. Recent work explores mental health reporting in sports, racial terminology in UK sport, and women's football merchandising strategies.
Awarded the UN Day Media Award, he regularly contributes to public discourse through outlets like The Conversation. Current projects investigate BAME coaching experiences and masculinities in mental health reporting.
