Keith Mehlinger is a tenured Professor in the Department of English at Morgan State University, serving as Director of the Screenwriting and Animation (SWAN) program and the Digital Media Center within the James H. Gilliam Jr. College of Liberal Arts. His expertise bridges cinematic arts, digital media, and journalism.
- Education: B.S. in Journalism from University of California at Berkeley; M.F.A. in Cinema/TV (Screenwriting) from UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television.
With a career spanning marketing communications, corporate film production, and educational leadership, Mehlinger has worked with Fortune 250 companies like Northrop Aircraft and TRW Space and Defense. He currently leads initiatives such as cinematic arts workshops for Baltimore Youth Film Arts, supported by an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant in collaboration with Johns Hopkins Film and Media Arts.
His leadership in expanding the client base of SI Communications' corporate division and producing episodes of the documentary series "African Americans: An Amazing Century" highlights his industry experience.
