Keith DelMonte

Keith DelMonte is an Associate Professor and Director of Experiential Education & CPE at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, St. John Fisher University. His research focuses on experiential education, women's health, and bioterrorism preparedness. He holds certifications as an Apple Teacher, APhA Immunization trainer, and Stop the Bleed trainer. Educated at the University of Colorado (Pharm.D.) and University of Connecticut (B.S.Pharm.), he completed a pediatric pharmacy residency at Children’s National Medical Center. Dr. DelMonte teaches core and elective APPE courses, emphasizing clinical rotations in community, acute care, and ambulatory settings. He actively contributes to global health initiatives through mission trips with Global Volunteers and co-leads projects on experiential learning, drug shortages, and pandemic preparedness.

His scholarly work includes analyzing pharmacy intern roles in vaccine distribution during the pandemic, optimizing Tamiflu shelf-life for public health stockpiles, and developing interprofessional education programs. He has presented at national conferences like AACP and contributed to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines on potassium iodide use. His mentorship spans curriculum development for future pharmacists and stress perception studies in academic settings.
