Kei Miller is a Professor in the Department of English at the University of Miami's College of Arts and Sciences. He is an award-winning author and academic whose work interrogates themes of race, gender, silence, and Caribbean identity through essays, poetry, and short fiction. His 2023 essay collection Things I Have Withheld received critical acclaim, being shortlisted for the Baillie Gifford Prize for Nonfiction and featured in BOMB Magazine’s Editor’s Choice and Slate/Buzzfeed Best Books of 2021.
