Keden Montgomery is a Lecturer in Nursing at Charles Sturt University's School of Nursing, Paramedicine and Healthcare Sciences. She currently serves as Head of Discipline for Undergraduate Nursing and is a PhD Candidate researching rural student retention in online education. Her professional background includes extensive nursing experience in regional Australia, East Timor, and Samoa, including roles with the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Aboriginal Community Health Organizations.

Research focuses on rural healthcare workforce development, online education barriers for regional students, and Indigenous health equity through interprofessional collaboration. Key projects include the AAeMR clinical simulation program and mapping applications for nursing student placement optimization.
Recipient of grants including Higher Education Participation Partnerships (2023) and Rural Health Research Institute (2024). Active in curriculum development, recently co-leading the 2025 Bachelor of Nursing endorsement process and presenting at simulation workshops.
