Kazeem Akinyele

Kazeem Akinyele is an Associate Professor in the Accounting Department at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh’s College of Business. He teaches Cost Management and Essentials of Managerial Accounting at the undergraduate level and has previously taught at the University of Central Florida and Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Nigeria, while working at Deloitte in Lagos.

• Research Focus: Judgment and decision-making in managerial accounting, emphasizing incentive systems, management control systems, organizational culture, and value statements.

His work explores how incentive schemes and cultural frameworks influence accountability in healthcare, public sector efficiency, and AI’s role in accounting education. Publications include studies on CFO turnover due to IT weaknesses and the efficacy of ChatGPT in accounting assessments.
