Kavatzikidou Evi

Dr. Evi Kavatzikidou is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Ultrafast Laser Micro and Nano Processing Laboratory (ULMNP), part of the Institute of Electronic Structure & Laser (IESL-FORTH) in Heraklion, Greece. Her research focuses on developing polymeric scaffolds, evaluating material properties, and studying cell-material interactions. She has held positions at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2008–2014) and the University of Liverpool (2001–2006).

Education:

• PhD in Clinical Engineering, University of Liverpool (2008)
• MSc in Medical Engineering, University of Liverpool (2001)
• BEng in Medical Engineering, University of Bradford (2000)

Research Interests: Fabrication of biodegradable/synthetic polymeric scaffolds via soft lithography; surface characterization of laser-processed materials; in vitro evaluation of cytotoxicity, cell adhesion, and proliferation; degradation behavior of biomaterials.
