Dr. Kaushik Ghosh is an Associate Professor of Information Systems and Operations Management at Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School. He joined in 2019 after serving as a tenured Associate Professor at Lamar University. His roles include undergraduate IS curriculum coordinator, department admissions liaison, and member of the NECHE Accreditation Committee. He teaches IT strategy, data management, and AI across undergraduate, MBA, and MSBA programs.
Dr. Ghosh holds a PhD from the University of Mississippi (2010), an MS from Texas A&M International University (2004), and a BS in Electronics Engineering from Pune University (2000). His research focuses on healthcare IT innovation, digital transformation in healthcare systems, and patient care coordination technologies. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles in journals like Communications of the Association for Information Systems and Health Care Management Review.
His recent work emphasizes healthcare IT’s role in accountable care organizations, patient communication preferences, and digital platforms in healthcare leadership. He co-chairs the Healthcare IT track at AMCIS and serves as guest editor for special issues on healthcare technology. Key awards include the AIS SIG-Health Best Paper Award (2021-2022) and Sawyer Business School Research Grant (2023).
Dr. Ghosh has advised on healthcare IT implementation projects with organizations and holds grants from Suffolk and Lamar University. He actively reviews for top journals including MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Frontiers. His teaching innovations include integrating AI tools into business bot curricula and advancing enterprise data management practices.
