Kaushik Bal

Kaushik Bal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), where he specializes in Elliptic and Parabolic Partial Differential Equations. His academic career spans multiple prestigious institutions across India and France.

Dr. Bal received his PhD (2008-2011) from Universite de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, France, with a thesis titled 'Some Contribution to the Study of Singular Quasilinear Parabolic and Elliptic Equations' under the supervision of Prof. Jacques Giacomoni. Prior to this, he completed his M.Sc (2006-2008) from TIFR CAM, Bangalore, and his B.Sc (2003-2006) from Presidency College, Kolkata.

His research primarily focuses on theoretical aspects of partial differential equations, particularly examining singular quasilinear parabolic and elliptic equations.
