Katya Tentori is a Full Professor of General Psychology (M–PSI/01) at the University of Trento, affiliated with the Interdepartmental Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMEC) and the Interdepartmental Center for Medical Sciences (CISMED). Her academic career spans over two decades at the University of Trento, where she has held roles as Deputy Dean at CIMeC (2016–2019) and progressed from Assistant Professor to Full Professor.
- Education includes a Ph.D. in Methodology of Research in Psychology from the University of Genova (2007), a Master’s degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of Padova (1998, 110/110 cum laude), and a clinical psychologist license from the University of Padua (2002).
Her research focuses on Bayesian models of confirmation, inductive reasoning, decision biases, probabilistic cognition, causal reasoning, and forecasting models, with applications to medical decision making, risk communication, legal reasoning, and environmental sustainability.
Scientific awards include the AIP-Rosselli Foundation’s best Ph.D. dissertation award (2002) and a formal recommendation for publication of her Master’s thesis (1998). She has contributed to academic governance as Deputy Dean at CIMeC.
