Massimo Turatto is a Full Professor at the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences within the Faculty of Cognitive Sciences at the University of Trento. He serves as Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Cognitive and Brain Sciences and is affiliated with the Interdepartmental Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMEC). His research focuses on cognitive mechanisms underlying visual selective attention, distractor suppression, and the interaction between motivation and attention.

- Academic Career: PhD student (1996-2000), Postdoctoral position (2000-2001), Associate Professor (2002-2006), Full Professor (2006-present)

- Neural mechanisms of distractor suppression through habituation
- Motivational salience and conditioning processes
- Implications for understanding attentional capture in addiction
