Dr. Katy Goldstraw is a Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care at Staffordshire University, affiliated with the School of Health, Education, Policing and Sciences. She teaches courses such as Introduction to Health and Social Care, Safeguarding, and Public Health at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her research focuses on participatory anti-poverty approaches, leveraging creative and arts-based methods to empower marginalized communities. Goldstraw holds a PhD in participatory research on voluntary sector responses to austerity. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
