Katri Lassila-Perini is a Researcher and Research Coordinator at the Helsinki Institute of Physics, University of Helsinki. She serves as a supervisor for the Doctoral Programme in Particle Physics and Universe Sciences. Her primary affiliation is with CERN, where she has held various roles including membership in the CMS Collaboration and participation in key experimental physics initiatives.
Her research focuses on high-energy particle physics, particularly in B-meson decays, Higgs boson interactions, top quark dynamics, and jet physics using data from the Large Hadron Collider. She has contributed to over 1,350 research outputs since 2000, with significant publications in Physics Letters B and Journal of High Energy Physics.
Awarded prestigious roles such as Chair of the CMS Collaboration (2011–2012), she has led multidisciplinary projects including the Avoin data ja koulutoiminta initiative (2024–2025) supported by the Technology Industries of Finland Centennial Foundation. She is actively involved in data preservation strategies and educational outreach through the CERN Science Education Network and international conferences like CHEP.
