Katina Swan is a Lecturer in Speech Pathology at the School of Medical and Health Sciences, Edith Cowan University (ECU). She holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the University of Newcastle (2010) and completed postgraduate honours at James Cook University (2013). Currently pursuing a PhD at Curtin University, her research focuses on validating visuoperceptual measures for videofluoroscopic swallow studies. Katina teaches courses on communication disorders, neurogenic language, and swallowing assessment.

Her research interests span dysphagia, mental health, instrumental swallowing assessments, and psychometrics. Professionally, she maintains part-time clinical practice in instrumental dysphagia assessment and supervises honours students at ECU.
