Katie M. O'Brien

Katie M. O'Brien, Ph.D., is a Staff Scientist in the Chronic Disease Epidemiology Group at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), part of the NIH. Her research focuses on environmental factors influencing chronic diseases, particularly asthma and allergies, with a concentration on exposure to indoor allergens and environmental epigenetics. She collaborates on studies like the Inner-City Asthma Study (ICAS) and contributes to understanding how environmental triggers impact respiratory health.
