Associate Professor Katie Anders is an NHMRC Research Fellow at Monash University's School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, within the Planetary Health division. She leads research on vector-borne disease control, focusing on dengue and arboviruses in the Asia-Pacific region. Previously, she directed impact assessment for the World Mosquito Program, evaluating Wolbachia-based interventions across 14 countries.
Education: PhD in Epidemiology & Preventive Medicine (Monash University), MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine).
Research Interests: Her work emphasizes scaling effective dengue control strategies, analyzing interactions between environmental and macro-level drivers of disease, and implementing Wolbachia mosquito replacement programs. Key areas include epidemiological research, disease surveillance, and clinical trials.
