Kati Vasiliki is a Professor in the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Management at the University of Ioannina. Her work focuses on biodiversity preservation through primary database creation, endangered species protection, and protected area network design. She specializes in biocommunity ecology of Orthoptera, butterflies, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
- Research Interests: Biodiversity indicators, environmental impacts of infrastructure projects (roads/wind farms), and conservation strategies
- Teaching: Conservation Biology in Practice, Biodiversity and Climate Change
Operates the Biodiversity Conservation Laboratory (BC Lab) conducting field studies at the PALACE research station. Engaged in biomonitoring programs and ecological impact assessments for large-scale development projects.
