Kathy Zolton

Kathy Zolton is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of Texas at Dallas, affiliated with the Jindal School of Management. Her expertise spans Financial Accounting, Accounting Education, and Taxation, with a focus on professional accounting practices. She holds an MS (1996) and BS (1995) in Accounting from the University of Texas A&M.

Dr. Zolton is recognized for excellence in teaching, having received the UT Dallas President’s Teaching Excellence Award (2017) and the JSOM Outstanding Online Teaching Award (2016). She is also a recipient of the Texas Society of CPAs 2015 Outstanding Accounting Educator Award (2016).

Her teaching portfolio includes courses such as Intermediate Financial Accounting II, Advanced Financial Reporting, and Introduction to Managerial Accounting. She is actively involved with the Texas Society of CPAs and the Dallas Chapter Society of CPAs, contributing to professional accounting standards and education.
