Kathy Win is a Lecturer at the School of Federalism and Peace Studies, an online institution offering higher education to young people from Myanmar. She is also a doctoral researcher at the University of East Anglia (UEA), funded by the Social Science Studentship. Her research focuses on citizenship, nationalism, and the lived experiences of Rohingya and other Muslim groups in Rakhine State, Myanmar, and Thailand, using socio-legal perspectives.

- Master of Science in Violence, Conflict, and Development (SOAS, University of London, 2019–2020, Distinction)
Research Interests: Human Rights, Citizenship, Ethnicity, Identity Politics, Nationalism, Refugee Rights, Intercommunal Conflict, Interreligious Dialogue, and International Development. Her work critically examines marginalized groups’ access to rights, governance dynamics in post-coup regions, and humanitarian aid in conflict zones.
Key Contributions: Her publications analyze digital divides affecting Rohingya refugees, gender-based insecurity in conflict zones, and policy gaps in protecting stateless populations. Her 2025 article on internet blackouts in Myanmar highlights state control mechanisms targeting Rohingya communities.
