Kathy Peterson is a Professor and Chair in the Department of Nursing at SUNY Brockport. She holds a Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of Rochester, along with certifications as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PPCNP-BC) and Nursing Educator (CNE). Her roles include leading the Nursing program and teaching in research methodologies, leadership, management, and pediatric nursing.

Recipient of the 1998 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Her professional practice includes rural and urban pediatric settings. Personal interests include music, reading, and family time.
