Kathy Lund Dean is a Professor at the Department of Management, School of Management, University of St Andrews. She holds the Board of Trustees Distinguished Chair in Leadership and Ethics at Gustavus Adolphus College, Minnesota, and maintains an active international academic profile through roles such as a Fulbright Specialist and Adjunct Professor at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
Her research focuses on ethical challenges in academic careers, leadership development, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She authored the 2018 book The Ethical Professor, which examines ethical dilemmas faced by doctoral students and junior faculty. Her work emphasizes practical frameworks for navigating research, teaching, and professional life in academia.
