Associate Professor Kathy Jordan is an Honorary Associate Professor in the School of Education at RMIT University. Her research and teaching focus on educational technology, ICT integration in teacher education, and the role of mentorship in professional development. She has led projects investigating teacher mentors' knowledge requirements to support pre-service teachers using ICT during practicums. Her work spans curriculum design, third-space learning frameworks, and cross-cultural educational initiatives, such as the Coaching Approach to Professional Experience (CAPE) model in Indonesia.
Her teaching interests include ICT in education, online discussion methodologies, and literacy. She has collaborated on national assessments to evaluate graduate teacher preparedness and explored innovative course frameworks like Distributed Open Collaborative Courses (DOCC). Her research frequently addresses gender dynamics in teacher technology proficiency and TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) measurement.
Dr. Jordan’s publications emphasize bridging theory and practice in teacher education, professional identity development in school-university partnerships, and leveraging technology to enhance learning environments. She is open to supervising PhD and Masters students in areas related to ICT in education and mentorship.
