Kathy Jo Ellison is the Dr. Bill Lazenby Professor at Auburn University's College of Nursing. With a 24-year faculty tenure, she holds degrees from the University of Tennessee (BScN) and University of Alabama at Birmingham (MSN, PhD). Her teaching spans graduate and undergraduate levels across three universities.

Her research focuses on chronic illness management, caregiver support, and specialized nursing education initiatives. Recent work explores sleep health in veterans and post-operative diabetes care.
