Dr. Kathy Chandler is a Lecturer in Technology Enhanced Learning at Lancaster University's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Department of Educational Research. Her research focuses on student and educator experiences in online spaces, emphasizing community-building, equity, and care in education. Previously, she worked at The Open University's Institute of Educational Technology and has a background in healthcare.
Her research interests include critical digital pedagogy, online communities, and narrative approaches to education. She supervises PhD students exploring care in education, online teaching practices, and digital pedagogy. Chandler is affiliated with the Centre for Higher Education Research and Evaluation, the Centre for Social Justice and Wellbeing in Education, and the Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning.
