Dr. Kathy Broikou is Associate Professor and Director of the Literacy Program at St. John Fisher College's Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education. She holds a Ph.D. in Reading from SUNY Albany and has extensive experience in teacher education development.
Research Focus: Identification and referral practices for special education services, teacher development in literacy instruction, and educational strategies for at-risk learners.
Professional Background: Previously served as Associate Dean at SUNY Geneseo with elementary teaching experience across all grade levels. Teaches courses in literacy instruction, assessment, and special education.
