Kathryn Stamp is an Assistant Professor (Research) at Coventry University, affiliated with the Research Centre for Dance Research. She specializes in inclusive dance practices, dance education, and the intersection of dance with health. Her work emphasizes equity and accessibility in dance spaces, supported by her roles as Co-Chair of the Society for Dance Research and Board Member of DanceHE.
Dr. Stamp holds a PhD from Coventry University (2020), an MA in Education from the University of Brighton (2017), a PGCE Dance qualification (2012), and a BA in Dance Studies from Roehampton University (2010).
Her research explores inclusive dance media representations, such as the 'Strictly Inclusive' project analyzing disability portrayals on TV, and co-leads the Critical Dance Pedagogy Network, an AHRC-funded initiative rethinking dance education through equity. Recent publications include co-editing *Ethical Agility in Dance* (Routledge, 2024) and contributions to the *Arts for Health* series (Emerald Press, 2024).
Stamp advocates for marginalized voices through roles like AWA DANCE Ambassador and We Are Epic Advisory Board Member. Her work bridges research and practice, addressing societal biases and fostering inclusive dance ecosystems.
