Kathryn Sabo is an Assistant Professor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, School of Nursing, and serves as Director of the Ruth Sleeper Nursing Center for Clinical Education and Wellness. She leads interprofessional initiatives at the Impact Practice Center, focusing on health promotion and community wellness programs.

Dr. Sabo’s research centers on health promotion for community-dwelling populations, particularly older adults and teens, using her Health-Promoting Self-Care for Older Adults (HPSOA) model. She developed the Caring for the Caregiver Survey to assess provider practices in supporting informal caregivers.
Her scholarly work includes telehealth training, behavioral health interventions, and climate change impacts on health. Projects like the $3.1 million HRSA-funded mobile health service and outcomes research on student-led behavioral health programs highlight her commitment to addressing social determinants of health.
