Kathryn Martin is an Assistant Professor and Associate Dean at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, where she is affiliated with the Department of Family Medicine. She has served in academic and leadership roles since 2000 and currently directs community engagement initiatives through HamesNet. She is also actively involved in public health education and service across multiple institutions, including Georgia Southern University's School of Public Health and Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health.

Kathryn Martin has received multiple honors recognizing her teaching excellence and institutional service, including the Exemplary Teaching Award (2019) and the Distinguished Faculty Award for Institutional Service (2012). She has also been recognized as a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia and among the Top Ten Working Women of Savannah.
She is actively engaged in professional service, serving as Chair of the Chatham County Board of Health, a member of the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation team, President/Elect/Past Officer of the MedBank Foundation, and former President of the Georgia Public Health Association (2013–2014). She contributes to strategic planning at Augusta University and serves on various university committees, including the President’s External Affairs Cabinet and the Committee on Faculty Affairs.
Kathryn leads community engagement efforts aligned with Augusta University’s Strategic Plan (2022–2027) and is involved in statewide health initiatives such as the Georgia Statewide AHEC Primary Care Summit. Her leadership spans academic administration, public health governance, and inter-institutional collaboration in healthcare and education.
