Kathryn Hendee

Dr. Kathryn Hendee is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Wisconsin Lutheran College, focusing on genetics, cell biology, and disease modeling using CRISPR-Cas9. Her research investigates lung regeneration, angiogenesis, and genetic eye disorders.

She holds a B.S. from Wisconsin Lutheran College and a Ph.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin, followed by postdoctoral work in lung development and vascular biology.

Publications explore mechanisms of hydrostatic pressure in tissue repair, obesity-related angiogenesis inhibition, and PITX2 gene functions. She teaches Cell Biology, Genetics, and Pathophysiology, mentoring students in genome-editing projects.
