Kathryn Ballenger Reid is a Professor in the University of Virginia School of Nursing, with academic appointments including BSN Program Director, MSN-CNL Program Director, and roles in faculty governance. She holds a BSN, MSN, and PhD from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her research focuses on diabetes/obesity coaching methodologies, evidenced by her Perceived Coaching Scale (PCS) and contributions to NIH-funded studies. Dr. Reid pioneered the UVA MSN-CNL program, nationally ranked, and chairs the General Faculty Council's Policy Committee. Clinically, she practices urgent care, travel health consultation, and telehealth.
