Kathrine von Graevenitz

Kathrine von Graevenitz holds dual institutional roles: she is Professor of Empirical Environmental Economics at the University of Mannheim, sponsored by the Leibniz Association through the Program for Women Professors, and deputy head of the Environmental and Climate Economics unit at ZEW - Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim, Germany.

Her research program centers on empirical environmental economics, with core emphases on:

• Valuation of environmental amenities and disamenities in urban settings
• Diffusion dynamics of renewable energy technologies
• Impact of environmental regulation on firm performance and industrial organization

She actively contributes to national scientific infrastructure as a member of the scientific consultative group for the Research Data Centres of the German Statistical Offices of the Bund and the Länder, and participates in policy-oriented networks through her membership in the Female Economists' Network of the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
