Kathleen M. Susman is Professor of Biology holding the J.P. Giraud, Jr. Chair at Vassar College. Her laboratory investigates neurotoxic effects of common pesticides on C. elegans, a model soil organism, examining impacts on behavior, neural function, and soil ecosystem health. She teaches courses in neurobiology, cell biology, and science communication while actively translating research findings on pesticide risks for public audiences.
Her recent Journal of Visualized Experiments publication details methodologies for assessing pesticide impacts on neuronal function, complementing her PLOS ONE research on neonicotinoid effects on growth and fertility.
