Kathleen Lukaszewicz is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Marquette University, where she joined the faculty in 2012. She teaches pathophysiology, exercise physiology, and rehabilitation strategies for cardiac/pulmonary conditions. Dr. Lukaszewicz holds a B.A. in History (2002), Master of Physical Therapy (2004) from Marquette, and a Ph.D. in Physiology (2012) from Medical College of Wisconsin where she was an AHA Predoctoral Fellow studying vascular changes in hypertension.
Her research focuses on vascular mechanisms of skeletal muscle fatigue in aging populations and diabetic patients. She collaborates with Drs. Sandra Hunter and Chris Sundberg in these investigations. Professional affiliations include the American Physical Therapy Association, and she maintains Wisconsin physical therapy licensure.
