Kathleen Adams is a Lecturer (Education Focused) in the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing at RMIT University, Melbourne, where she has held this position since 2000. Previously, she was a Lecturer at Monash University (1998–2000). Her corporate career included senior roles in marketing, logistics, and training at companies like Jacqui E, Daimaru Melbourne, and Myer. She specializes in teaching Services Marketing and International Marketing across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Her research focuses on cross-cultural mentoring, educational mentoring, social media marketing, and experiential learning. Notably, she coordinates the L’Oréal Brandstorm Marketing competition for RMIT students, earning a CoBL Teaching Award in 2024 for her contributions. She has also received multiple teaching awards since 2005.
Teaching commitments include MKTG1053 (Undergraduate), BUSM1588 (Postgraduate), and MKTG1268 (Offshore programs). She has supervised student groups that advanced to ANZ National and International Finals in Brandstorm competitions. Her work emphasizes global marketing education and student engagement through competitive and experiential learning.
