Kathi H. Mooney is a Professor at the University of Utah College of Nursing and holds the Louis S. Peery and Janet B. Peery Presidential Endowed Chair in Nursing. She serves as an investigator at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, where she co-leads the Cancer Control and Population Sciences Program and acts as Interim Senior Director of Population Sciences.

Her research focuses on cancer patient symptom management, technology-aided interventions, and support for rural/frontier cancer patients and caregivers. She has been continuously funded by the National Cancer Institute since 2001 and has published extensively on telehealth, caregiver burden, and chemotherapy-related symptoms. Her work includes randomized controlled trials on remote monitoring systems and development of NCCN Survivorship Guidelines.
