Dr. Katherine Whyte is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of St Andrews' School of Biology and a Senior Ecological and Environmental Statistician at Biomathematics and Statistics Scotland (BioSS). Her work focuses on human-wildlife interactions, particularly the impact of offshore renewable energy on marine mammals and seabirds. She holds a PhD from the University of St Andrews (2017–2021) and an MSc in Marine Mammal Science. Her research integrates statistical ecology and animal movement modeling, with a focus on informing sustainable marine management.
