Katherine Snyder

Katherine Snyder is Dean and Associate Professor of Mathematics & Computer Science at the University of Detroit Mercy's College of Engineering & Science. She previously served as Interim Dean and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, and has held roles including Director of the Dental program and Department Chair. Snyder leads significant research grants including a $300,000 Ford Mobility App project and co-leads a $21.2 million NIH ReBUILDetroit grant.

Education includes:

• Ph.D. in Mathematics & Computer Science Education from Wayne State University
• M.S. in Computer Science from University of Detroit
• B.S. in Mathematics from University of Detroit

Her research focuses on appropriate and effective use of technology in mathematics and computer science education, particularly computer algebra systems.
