Professor Katherine Smith is a Professor of Public Health Policy at the University of Strathclyde, affiliated with the School of Social Work & Social Policy and leading the Centre for Health Policy and Scottish Health Equity Research Unit (SHERU). She joined Strathclyde in 2019 through the Global Talent scheme, focusing on interdisciplinary research addressing health inequalities and evidence-based policymaking. Her academic career spans Edinburgh, Bath, and Durham Universities, with expertise in qualitative and mixed methods research.
