Dr. Katherine Robinson is a Professor of Psychology and Health and Medical Humanities at the University of Regina. She holds a BA Hons from Bishop’s University and an MSc/PhD from the University of Alberta. Her research integrates psychology, technology, and humanities through three core domains: mathematical cognition, eye-tracking applications in artistic creation, and medical education innovation for ultrasound interpretation.
She directs the Mathematical Cognition Lab and co-directs the IMPACT Lab, driving interdisciplinary work in interactive media and cognitive science. Her projects include:
- Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation Grant (Co-Investigator): Enhancing ultrasound teaching through gaze-tracking technology
- NSERC Discovery Grant (Principal Investigator): "Math Now for Success Later" studying arithmetic foundations for STEM
- SSHRC Insight Grant (Co-Investigator): "Disrupt/ability" exploring disability, ableism, and eye-tracking in art
Honored as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), her teaching spans developmental psychology, health humanities, and Holocaust studies. Her 2023 publications demonstrate strong scholarly output in health humanities and mathematics education research.
