Katherine May is Lecturer in Design at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her practice-based research examines textile materials and objects through participatory making processes and design anthropology approaches.
She employs making as a tool to explore material agency and social relationships in diverse contexts including community spaces, galleries, and museums. Her teaching integrates craft practices with social engagement, developed through collaborations with institutions including Crafts Council and Victoria & Albert Museum.
