Katherine L. French

Katherine L. French is the J. Frederick Hoffman Professor of Medieval English History at the University of Michigan. She specializes in cultural, social, and gender history with a focus on medieval domestic life, parish structures, and gender roles. Her notable works include A Cultural History of the Home in the Medieval Age (2024), The Good Women of the Parish (2008), and co-authored Women and Gender in the Western Past (2007).
