Katherine Juba

Dr. Katherine Juba is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at St. John Fisher College's Wegmans School of Pharmacy. She specializes in geriatrics, palliative care, and pain management, with a focus on medication safety and pharmacotherapy optimization in vulnerable populations. Dr. Juba holds a Pharm.D. from the University at Buffalo and completed a pharmacy practice residency at University at Buffalo/Niagara Hospice. Her teaching includes palliative care and internal medicine rotations at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Her research emphasizes polypharmacy risks in older adults with cancer, opioid stewardship, and developing assessment tools for student pharmacists. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and actively contributes to professional organizations like the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and Society of Pain and Palliative Care Pharmacists (SPPCP).

Dr. Juba coordinates interprofessional education courses on SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) and teaches advanced pharmacy practice modules.
